Really, I think the relationship with Zdenka was doomed when she and Hatman ended up in that "happy every after" place for awhile and were then yanked out of it. It's the same thing that broke up Hatman and Sorceress, having them experience the perfect life together then taking it away and thrusting them back to cold reality where that life would never work.

I still think Zdenka is a great character and I enjoy seeing her around, but due to story-circumstances I can't see Hat and Zdenka staying together.
