I really like the use of first-person perspective to tell this chapter. Seeing the first battle from Dancer's point of view was a first, and an enjoyable one at that.

It also allowed me a chance to info-dump while everyone was jiving along to the Sarah beat.

I loved the scene with the Lost Legion, as that entire line-up is made of some of my favourite characters who we haven't seen in awhile. I'm curious to see if ManMan's fork has any abilities aside from being pointy.

Nope. It's a fork. From his kitchen.

He's really missing Knifey.

And continuing the old school feel of this chapter is Xander's appearance. It's been awhile since we've seen Xander so I'm glad to see he's still around.

It seemed like the appropriate time for him to have a walk-on role.

Nice nod to the Secret Avengers teasers at the end of this chapter, by the way. And Detonator Hippo's in the next installment? Pure awesome.

We need to be reintroduced to Sergeant MacHarridan.

BTW, on an unrelated note, I ordered Assembled v.1 and should be getting it hopefully this week. I'm looking forward to reading your essays within.

Excellent. My new novel Robin Hood: King of Sherwood should be out in the next few days too, and I'm told that Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective volumes 1 and 2 are rising right now in the Amazon sales charts. For some reason they've sold especially well in Canada and Japan. Finally, Gideon Cain: Demon Hunter has gone off to the proofreaders.
