    Quote:
McHarridon was lucky with that one last explosion thing. Flay and Skinner weren't paying close attention.

They were more interested in playing with the children.

    Quote:
The two of them are lucky they only have to deal with Nanny Greenwood. Faite would love a part in annoying and hurting the two of them.

Luck may not have played a part. Those kids have some pretty potent fairy godmothers between them.

    Quote:
And that same Faite would be proud of Lara, unleashing such fury even in the face of exhaustion, and learning to reverse the flow and take away energy from Ms. Peel. That definitely sounds like something Lara would be terrified to use until she's pushed way over the edge - it would be highly dangerous to anyone otherwise.

That's what I was talking about in earlier correspondence when I said I wanted to give the characters a chance to prove their heroism under massively difficult circumstances. I wanted to do a story where they toughed through not because they were powerful but because they were brave and noble.

    Quote:
Anna might be disappointed that she didn't get to vaporize Ms. Peel. She takes it very personally when someone rips her arm off, and she'll probably be angry about it for a while (fortunately she's able to repair herself, but she wouldn't mind some help).

There's more to cover after the end of this section of story. Anna might even be able to get an upgrade, although Apocalyspian technology is dangerous as well as powerful.

    Quote:
And what does Dark Thugos have to do with that planet? Not that the four women have anything to do with it, since they aren't undead nor do they live on that planet. Maybe they can convince him to send them home on the grounds that they don't care what he does with the planet.

The first time the LL encountered Thugos was on a parallel Earth that he'd transformed into a zombie planet. It's something a suitor of Death does from time to time. Now he's got an entire Imperium of undead to work with; be sure he'll be setting them to use some time soon - as soon as he's finished with their modifications.

We'll be covering Lara & Co's time as his guests in a subsequent episode.
