Really Micheal doesn't need a date. He was fabricating a realistic reason for why he'd be hiring an escort as a means of infiltrating Profanity's agency.

As for Dancer or FA accompanying Michael, they hardly know him (since they don't know he's Alcheman). That might not stop Shep dating him if he was nastier and less caring but Michael's far too old and tragically unhip for FA.
