Hodgekiss wasn't and won't be a member. He was support staff liaison, so he was at the other side of the tabel really. It's like when Hatty was Finny's liason officer and he had to work with Amber St Clare and Garrick on the government side.

Asil is Mumphrey's ammanuensis, which is an archaic word for a secretary, diarist, PA and general assistant. In other words he employs her.
