We had mice in the basement of the condo out in Colorado, and I felt really bad when I removed the first dead one from a trap. By the 5th or so, however, I was ready to removed the entire mouse species from the face of the planet. They're like some inexhaustible resource. We should learn to power our cars on burning mouse carcasses.

Actually, I know somebody who had a mouse nest in the engine of their car; they were paranoid that mice would come through the vents into the car itself.

I first found mice in my apartment in the city, actually; I didn't know you could even get mice on the 3rd floor of a building. I used the glue traps, and one time I found one that had chewed itself in half trying to get free. It was pretty gross.

Living in the country, I'm not surprised to have mice in my garage; I do live next to a field, after all. As long as they're only in the garage, I can live with it (though I do put out poison and use a sonic device to keep them away from the door).

But I digress from the story at hand...

Vinnie is progressing nicely in his studies, though I'm sure Xander would protest the idea of him joining the Legion...though maybe he'd encourage it since it'd put a bigger bullseye on Vinnie and lessen attention on him. He's a crafty one that Xander.

What is the status of Xander these days? I had assumed that the Carnifex was the reason he went underground. Now that that specific threat has passed, are we to assume that he's back in his plumbing shop, or are he and Cleone still unreachable?

I think Xander is still incommunicado, but obviously Ian would know more about that.
