Mumphrey and Vinnie will be associate members like Al B. Liu Xi will be on the field team. She may wear a different costume to the one from this chapter.

That's a shame... Not only is it highly distracting to the enemy, but I imagine the suds from the shower make her slippery to grab.

It's quite fun to imagine, now that I mention it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Vinnie mix it up with the team some more. He's a fun character, and lends himself to team dynamics well.

Nice trick by Vinnie to get himself banished to the void, by the way... the man is picking up on Xander's trick of getting others to do the heavy lifting.

It was the quickest way to get there without using major magics, and it took care of some side business too.

Multitasking is a great time management skill to have.

I don't see Liu Xi having that much control over that range or magnitude of matter under regular circumstances.

I know Jason likes to keep it undefined but in my mind elemental manipulations have some kind of physical cost and there's a limit to how much a human can pay without rest and recouperation. However, when there's a massive raw source of element there, like a raging fire, there's rather more to draw upon. And in the best heroic traditions, at dire need Liu Xi can draw on deep reserves when her heart and soul go into it.

I like that interpretation of her powers. The one thing I'm not sure of is the whole "conjuring up new bathrooms" thing, as that seems to be incredibly complex reworking of elements. I think in my mind when she did tricks like that, it was entirely with space... making an existing palatial bathroom exist in two places at once, rather than reconfiguring a new copy of another, larger bathroom. But then I would expect that the original owners of the bathroom might walk into it at any time from their own home, and trying to figure out how you stop that made my head hurt.

But admittedly it's funnier if you don't stop that.

    In any event, fun stuff!

You know the bit that comes next.

I do! And so do people reading your reply to L!, since you dropped a spoiler there.
