The sketchy origin I did have for her was that she was driven mad by reading the diary of an emotionally unstable woman who hated the Jones Brothers for some reason (the ink that the girl used to write with having the same power granting qualities as Alcheman's tattoos did). But none of this was ever established in what passes for continuity in most of my work, so I say you have carte blanche with the characters and their backstories.
