The Board is now tormenting you.

What do you mean, "now"?

...maybe I could try a conclusion at the weekend? It's not like I need laundry, right?

That's the spirit! I shall send you good vibes through the ether.

Clean shirts and some groceries would be more practical. And a new garderer, since mine is apparently in prison now.

Today's chapter was an interesting diversion from the usual. Given your deadline I thought a chapter which focuses on a new character was a brave choice.

At this stage I need to bring a lot of strands together and the "short chapter focussed on one person" format is a bit of a limitation. So we've had several chapters where focus characters either report on or see what is happening in the other plotlines. I'm afraid it is inevitable as we get towards a resolution.

Trying to find fresh ways of doing that (with Laurie and Beth's visions and Zania's cosmic senses and so on) is a bit of a challenge. So I was happy to have a character at hand who could legitimately see some borders and the events there.

I was also surprised to see the Destroyer of Tales helping to start off a tale for someone by showing Zania where to go.

Doubtless Lisa would claim she was ending an old life. Like her cat, Lisa can be an old softie. Honestly.

Perhaps she is/can be simultaneously the Shaper and the Destroyer at the same time.

Nope. Not even Wilbur managed that.

In any case it was a nice introduction to a 'different to the usual' character.

We're still light on ethnic minorities from non-Western countries.

    Quote:
By the by - with a character who shares the name of one of your poster secretaries on the telephone it was just asking for a response along the lines of "Hello? No sorry Mr Watson is busy writing stories right now".

Like Zania ever bothered to answer my phone.

      Who can say?

Well, the author of the story.

You'd think it would work that way.

For that matter, the assumption has been that if Wilbur is stopped then things will pop back to how they used to be, as if he had suspended not permanetly altered the way the Parodyverse works. But that is only an assumption.

Yes, there are many options. I'll just have to wait and see which one occurs.

Same here.

The question is what happened to the generation after that? The answer has already been revealed quite some time ago.

Yep. She even got her name in the story title.

    Quote:
Well that narrows down the field.

Indeed.

        Interesting guess.

She was the freshest "bedraggled girl that Mac encountered" in my mind.

So she was.
