They've not actually got as far as the Mansion yet. The team got assembled at WallyWorld then jetted off to the other side of the planet.

I've written quite a lot more of this story so I'm starting to get the beats. Shrike writes Alcheman as pretty straight but with a wry sense of dry humour and I'm having trouble nailing that. In fact I'm still on a learning curve with all of these.

Well, so far you've only seen the first round of their interaction. "Deep Down" is a title with more than one meaning.
