Reply Subj: Death is a very inadequate ending from the Hood's persepctive.

Of course, if they don't die, is the failure absolute? I like to think not. Any mission you can limp away from...

I'm not 100% sure that this is accurate, but thankfully I can't think up any specific stories. But to flip this around, you hardly ever see Sorcy or Liu Xi turned into weasels either, so we all have our niches.

    Sad but true.

Not that they wouldn't make lovely stoats.

Vizh has already had to face this dilemma quite a bit, and it's no great secret that he tends to go with the "save them" option every time. Jason tends to play Lara as a bit more strategically - and even emotionally - detatched, which makes her choices a lot more unpredictable.

So then I can trust that the Hood won't be putting him in a position to make those kinds of decisions... right? I think I heard Al saying he always wondered what he would do in those situations...

The trio in question being Thugos, Slithis and this Ultra-Doomwraith? And will they be lining up in an orderly fashion and waiting their respective turns?

No, the third is the person who actually was able to murder Exu for Slithis.

Oh. Well, whoever that is, he's probably all murdered out. In fact, after Exu, he'll probably want to hibernate for a long, long time to digest what he's done. And reflect. Maybe join a convent. So many ways the story could go...

What they're doing is really a B-plot. The Hooded Hood has some plans as well.

Shouldn't he find a new romance? Maybe settle down, raise some kids who don't hate him/aren't simply chess pieces in a grand scheme/aren't interchangeable?

Or maybe he could write a novel and go on a book tour... I know I'd read it.

Yes, because Thugos really seems the type to prefer peaceful resolution to differences...

That's what makes a diplomatic mission story fun.

I thought it was the free food and travel...
