It's a commonly held theory. The problem seems to be that at different times there have been different routes.

I recall that at one point the Nile evidently terminated in a spectacular waterfall into the Mediterranean valley. At another time it cut a gorge half a mile deep. This latter possibility is important because the dense air down there might support the first evolution of wings for flight.




The stripping out of the site actually meant ot looked more like it did in the 60s than at any time since the 60s.

The BBC is going through a phase of dramatising the making of its old TV shows. Most recent was Don't Panic: The Dad's Army Story, which was partially set in the BBC TV Centre in 1968. Now that the site is no longer available the production had to made do with lesser and more generic green corridors and tobacco-stained plastic trim.
