Let's kill two birds with one stone. We rent out a villa in Geneva and meet up there in the Summer for our "let's all write, alright?" reunion?

Hey, it worked for Mary Shelley!

It also worked for the others. Byron's story, "Fragment of a Novel" want nowhere, but fellow house-guest John Polidori reworked its main character Augustus Darvill PVB-style into his own tale, "The Vampyre", the first English-language published vampire story. Shelley wrote "Fragment of a Ghost Story", and also wrote up five spooky tales from visiting gothic novelist "Monk" Lewis.

So that Geneva trip gave the world both Frankenstein and vampires.

The way those creators interacted was remarkably similar to the way this board has sometimes sparked, although as far as I know nobody had impregnated anybody in real life, nor brought their sister along for similar treatment.
