Lee Bookman has always looked/been the oldest in terms of age of all the characters. Semi-Transparent Lad is in his late 20's. Not sure how old Chad or Ronnie are. Chad in my mind has always appeared to be younger then Ronnie. Jane is slightly older then Ronnie. Catherine is in late 20's. Ham-Boy is 32.

I always thought of HB as younger than that.

He moved to "the big city" in his early 20's. He didn't really become a "big" name until he was at least his mid 20's, like 25. He became a Junior in his late 20's. He might not act like he is in his early 30's but he is.

Most of my story production petered out shortly after the last UT. There were a few stories after that but not many. I doubt that you'd be contradicting much of my stuff.

I've just been updating my archive at the HH Homepage. You might be surprised by your output.

Maybe. There is really is no stories for 2014 or 2015.

The slightly funny thing is almost every Chad & Ronnie story since 2009 has been me trying to the characters to an end point. We were almost there in 2012 then I never finished that storyline. A year later, I posted a story which showed the cast in limbo which is where they were both in story & in real life. They are still there almost 3 years ago.

I felt like you were moving on to a different brand of storytelling as your style evolved and you weren't quite sure how C&R fitted with that. Some of your later material was Catherine has a different feel to it. I think if you were staring now you'd take a different approach to the serial.

Chad & Ronnie would not exist without the frequent e-mail conversations I had with Scott Bryan (ag, creator of Amazing Guy among other things). Chad & Ronnie are/were a very loose interpretation of Me & Scott. As Me & Scott started to move further and further away from each other it made it a bit harder to write the stories. By the time Catherine was introduced, I had little contact with Scott.

You're hardly alone in that. For example, Messenger started with stories just as dadaist and absurd as were common on the early BZL, but as he matured as a writer his tales became dark and elegaic. He managed to develop his character beyond its roots but was constrained by the very setting Messy was in. I think maybe Finny has the same problem. I don't suggest you're quite where they were, but you do write now with added depth and scope, so I can see why your old characters present challenges.

Thanks. I was moving away from them but do think they serve to have a conclusion. Partly due to fact the stories have been going that way for sometime.

I knew & still do know part of that end point. Just not really sure how to get that point.

Write what you want to write. This is a voluntary board.

I know. I still really like that end point & feel that it would be a nice capper for the series. It would be an open ending but an ending none the less.
