I'm going to email you soon with an "interview" I just wrote. It's kind of neat, but I'm not entirely sure if any of it might create problems. It will probably annoy the General a bit. \:\)

I've replied now. Looks fine. So that character can go on the secret government's "list" too.

We've never found out. There may not even be any one person.

    Quote:
That's not likely to stop Chiaki if she wants to find out.

The problem comes when they know she's looking and decide she should disappear. Because she's not a high-profile person it could be a while before anyone realises she's missing.

That's another thing - if Chiaki suddenly starts negotiating, she's going to upset CSFB! because he's no longer in command.

The whoile situation should play out in the very next bit of Untold Tales, and then we'll be onto the challenges of a new paradigm.

Aren't they all prepared by morons?

No, I've got some good people who can do good stuff. This particular set of data wasn't from them though. I don't know what assumptions or conventions they've used to derive their cost estimates and they don't seem able to tell me, and I'm not signing off on numbers that appear to have been randomly picked.

I'm sure he could find a use for a conversation with Lara after her meeting with Thugos.

    Quote:
I figured he probably knew about it already, unless he's still curious about it. Though after Mysteries of Faite Part 2 he'll be able to ask Faite about it too.

I'm sure the Hood will know about it; but there are several things he would feasibly choose to do:

1. He could point out to Lara all the traps and snares that Thugos had laid for her, ensuring that she's unlikely to end up in a similar conversation with Thugos again.

2. He could maniplate Lara to either avoid or be interested in the Wonderwall, as it suited him.

3. He could provoke her interest in some situation in this reality to keep her around for future use.

4. He could provoke her interest in some situation in this reality that's going to turn very sour, eroding Lara's desire to stay around and breaking her heart.

5. He could set Lara up with a situation requiring Faite's input, thus keeping both of them involved where he wants them.

6. He could offer some justifications (but not all) for his taking of Lara's memory. He could offer a deal to get them back - but at a cost.

7. He could direct Lara to some confrontation with some enemy he wants removing so he can have Clockwatcher extract another fragment of the Jarvisite he's collecting.

8. He could show Lara something, a place, a time, a dimension, and ensure that Lara was seen with him; either to give the impression that she's working with him, or to attract some entity to take an interest in her.

9. He could seduce her.

And so on.
