Subj: Nope, you have to find a way to get the PVB pages onto my screen more often.

I really don't know why the board's so difficult for me to download these days. I have some difficulty with a few other sites but never as much as this one.

I've been trying to diagnose what's wrong. It looks like sometimes the call page command goes nowhere. There's no response from the server if if ever gets there. When I do get a response then often whichever browser I use downloads part of a packet of html but doesn't get the full text and so gives up. This is a particular problem when posting replies.

This phenomenon happens most when I run down the main page opening multiple pages in tabs to read after. I wonder if your IP provider identifies the rapid page requests as a denial of service attack? At the least it seems that the server doesn't begin sending out the next page until the previous one has fully downloaded. If there's a delay in that or no "finish" authentification it seems to just hang everything.

Sometimes I get pages without background and advanced formatting. That's only been a problem since the old html-black background got changed for an image background, a problem that persists if I archive pages on my website since it still calls the background for those pages from yours. The Shoggoth's written a conversion program to sort that for me but I haven't got round to testing it yet.

Sometimes the whole of the text appears centred without the scroll box that contains previous thread content, presumably an artefact of the order the hrml is sent; my browser's trying to formulate something with what it's got when it gives up waiting for more.
