It wasn't my intent to degrade Yuki's perfomance at all. My take was that she could now do just as well without the training wheels. Of course if you have good stories that require it otherwise then so be it.

But it was *my* intention! Actually I think she'd do well to *other* people's standards, but not her own. She might work out and get angry, and people wouldn't understand what the problem is.

The "damage" I'd like to create is psychological. Yuki rarely pushes herself far enough for the changes to really make a difference, but she notices it. It's like a natural human athlete getting old - you get angry that your knees no longer work, that you can't get quite the strength you did before, etc. But you're still a star athlete, and nobody else notices your performance woes.

I was suggesting that her intuitive tactics might offer an actual advantage over machine logic.

Definitely they would. I said a "draw" because those kind of tactics at least make up for her slight maximum performance decrease. Yuki's great at putting on a show, though - if she had both her legs inoperative she would play something like the bedroom scene in Princess Bride, and bluff her opponent into surrendering.

There's an important distinction here. Yuki had a legal case determining that she's a person. Anna's starts out that way, but that part doesn't work out - the judge and Arnie J Armbruster conspired to a workaround instead.

    Notes.

I tried to keep in mind that the decision had to follow the same route as Yuki's case, with the distinction that Anna has no human brain. It had to take another path.
