And she's her own harshest critic. Might be depressing to her to see how her performance has degraded.

There's an important distinction here. Yuki had a legal case determining that she's a person. Anna's starts out that way, but that part doesn't work out - the judge and Arnie J Armbruster conspired to a workaround instead.
