Another excellent chapter. Who knew a shopping scene without Dancer could still be so entertaining. It was an interesting pairing of heroes, and a clever way to have them hash out their current dilemmas and find some common ground.

I felt we needed to establish a baseline for both characters given we've not seen the one in Untold Tales much and we've got a lot of backstory to remind readers of about the other. I wanted to establish new relationships with new cast for each. Putting the two in the same scene seemed a no-brainer after that.

But I've been a sucker for two heroes walking through town ever since that old Avengers issue where Simon Williams and Hank Mc Coy walk out of a theatre and discuss things, way back when (circa Avengers #170? - "On the Subject of Heroes").

The highlight for me was the trip to Apocalyspe and your portrayal of Dark Thugos. You did a great job describing how major a threat he (and his inspiration) is. I'm looking forward to seeing Chiaki and company trying to figure out what power actually animated the Shee-Yar Imperium.

We've taken a few cosmic threats off the board over the last fifty issues of Untold Tales and I'm happy with that; but I do want there to be some threats still gathering amongst the stars. On my radar there's the omnipresent (but static) threat of Galactivac, the abyssal schemings of Sage Grimpenghast, the theological menace of [spoiler to be revealed], and the rise of Dark Thugos. I'm hoping to define each of the latter three in turn.
