Subj: I tried that a couple of days ago. It only worked briefly.

I wrote a short one a while ago about her history, but nothing newer yet.

After all, she recognizes him as one of the Parodyverse's cosmic forces, and since he's "creepy" but seemingly sane, she's not going to fight him over anything.

Lara definitely would fight any kind of removal and would become an instant pest. Maybe answering a couple questions doesn't sound so bad in comparison to that. Especially since being an outsider Lara might understand and sympathize with the answers better than most.

This is a space-faring culture that's not war-like but not totally friendly either. They have highly advanced technology and use it to make their lives easier - but because of rigid rules, they protect it fiercely and refuse to help anyone because of it.

> Not answering is evasion in its own way, and it would ring bells with any experienced cop.

Oh it rings bells with Jack Burns too, but he gave up because trying to get information Chiaki doesn't want to give is like arguing with a brick wall.
