It's interesting that Boss Deadeyes led Hatman to the Foundation in an apparent effort to save it. I think in his own way Deadeyes wants what is best for GMY (though obviously his idea of what is best for the city is different than those of law-abiding citizens), and the Foundation is obviously good for the city.

From Vendredi's end it's win-win. If the Foundation can be saved, that's good. If Klein gets inconvenienced and her plans get disrupted, that's good. If Hatty gets wiped out, who cares?

You're right that Deadeyes does feel a proprietary care for the city, though. It's one of the things that distinguishes him from Klein or the Lynchpin. They prey on the city; he controls it.

I'm curious about Lisa showing up though; is she not still the Destroyer of Tales? Is she just slumming in the mundane plane right now?

She's still Destroyer. It just wasn't relevant to reference it this time round.

It's not like she's banned from Earth of anything. Carrington and the Chronicler have both appeared at will to interact with the heroes. Lisa has even more reason to do that.

And I reckon Hatty has her phone number.

The Juniors scenes on campus were very fun. I get kind of an "Undergrads" feel (a great MTV animated series that for some inexplicable reason was only made for one season) from those scenes, which is good. I was also reminded a little of X-Men: Evolution, with the two competing schools (Xavier's and the Brotherhood, though both sets of teens went to the same public high school).

I've not seen either of those. My main experience of US college comes from "Animal House" and "Revenge of the Nerds".

An excellent chapter that I greatly enjoyed!

Jolly good. Now we've found new ways of landing Hatty in trouble.
