> > > There are two problems with that: 1) Liu Xi has been there before with Exu, and has learned to handle it better by now, and 2) She would know who sent her there and why, which would cause problems with the "experiment".
> > But if she was left alone with Danny for say five years there's a chance. Especially if they're left alone together sometime around 1500BC.
> That would be too obvious, making both Liu Xi and Danny horribly uncooperative and spending an inordinate amount of "valuable time" trying to escape and return home - and possibly doing so. It's the old thing about experimental subjects knowing they're in an experiment and ruining it.

That's true. And I honestly haven't worked out yet how oreven if a plot like this would progress.

> Kerry already appears unstable enough that she could possibly have a really horrible breakup with Danny, and he probably half expects it someday. If it happens, in fact, pretty much all the other Juniors, Visionary (who will be celebrating) and the rest of the Lair Legion would admit it was probably coming someday. Especially if Danny seems to have done something to cause it - everyone expects that too.

Indeed.

> In spite of her occasional anti-social reputation, Liu Xi has been known to be sensitive, caring, and empathetic, even to the likes of Exu, so not being the god of murder or currently servant to a universe-destroying dictator, Danny has a significant advantage at getting Liu Xi to care about him.

There are several scenarios where that might possibly work.

> > > I don't remember who was there, but I'm sure that's going to complicate things. Probably it's one of the juniors.
> > The Parody Master believed it was Kerry, then changed his mind.
> I guess it could be Fashion Accessory, but I already guessed she was fated to move in with Hatman and possibly marry him sometime later.

I'm not sure jay sees it that way.

> > Well, figure a giant rat's nest of broken ships and interconnected huts atop an unclimbable pillar of mountain where three thousand corsairs and their women carouse, brawl, and plunder and you're not far off.
> > The question is what does one need to do to become Queen of the Pirates?
> Probably defeat their leaders. Yuki can handle that part...of course it'll be easy when all their foot soldiers and backup are being tossed around by Anna like toys.

Their leader is Blackchin, the terrible Mad Will mentioned in the chapter above.

If you've got a good swashbuckling adventure to tell about this then I'd say go for it. These guys have been terrorising the 32 worlds for a long time now, so it;s time they were brought to justice.

> > > > Liu Xi is female, and therefore doesn't get spoken at loudly.
> > > How does he handle that language barrier then?
> > Possibly by speaking slowly and pointing.
> As long as it's not too offensive. Liu Xi tends to curse in Chinese at people who offend her.

Mumphrey would loan her a handkerchief for her sneezing fit.
