Now I haven't read the story but there is a problem in your recap:

> Ben Hermes, Semi-Transparent Lad, was drafted as a Moderator minion in this new reality.

Ok. That's right. Hermes was remade as an Agent of S.P.A.M.

> After a run-in with Kat Gillespie where he decided to let her go he now seeks only to escape the Iowa compound if he can find a vehicle to get away in.

But, Ben never had a "run-in with Kat". Kat clashed with another remade Hero of mine: Fred Harris a.k.a. Ham-Boy.
