> > Didn't that king learn anything from the Parody Master?
>
> He learned that the PM's not protecting the Parodyverse now.

But he might also have learned there are lots of others who are.

> > I guess it's partially my fault though for pointing out the power gap that someone would have to fill once the PM was gone...
>
> The Sturdy Strolling Beggarly Brotherhood don't want to conquer the Parodyverse, just to loot Paradopolis. They have small, achievable objectives.

And they give up when they learn Paradopolis has nothing of value? \:\)

Btw, some small trivia: The creation of Anna was something I thought of a week ago Friday while watching a certain anime I'm going to make people guess. It was a funny coincidence that I started writing it around the same time you posted Shadowrat, because her introduction and the excuse behind it that Dan Drury gave seem to play right into what's next.

> > Fortunately this time Liu Xi isn't afraid anymore.  As for Lara, she might be cautious as usual not to screw up things for the Parodyverse but she won't make the same mistakes through delaying as she did last time.
>
> The Beggars aren't about power. They're about sneakiness and subtlety and being in 5000 places at the same time so that 20 or so heroes can't stop them all.

That may be where Liu Xi can excel, because she can make that distance irrelevant. Of course the big flaw in that plan is she won't be able to deal with 5000 enemies in one place either.

> > And I think what's left of the Lair Legion has learned a lot too.  As well as the Paradopolis PD and the military.
>
> We'll find out in 2008. Hopefully.

Hopefully?
