It was good to see Clockwatcher again, and to learn of the task set before him.

He's got a fascinating if brief career ahead of him.

The story excerpts were all good, but I especially liked the bit with Mumphrey and Balefire. The Vortex-Warrior character would have been interesting if he had made it into Parodyverse canon (if there is such a thing) and the Night Nurse set up was intriguing.

I think what all of them had in common was that I got interrupted somewhere during the writing process and never came back to them. Whatever it was I'd so urgently wanted to express in the first flower of writing vanished and I never felt that keen to get back to it.

And of course, in some cases the posters featured weren't around any more. That's why I never did the second part of Starseed and the Crime Chicken.

I liked the ending too, where the Hooded Hood vows his revenge against those who are manipulating the Parodyverse (and by extension, himself).

Enjoy it while you can.
