Note, however, that Hagatha's daughter (by Mumphrey) also ran away from home but she went to Parodiopolis. Hagatha's granddaughter (by Xander); Whitney Darkness also fled to GMY and joined the League of Left-Outs and later the Lair Legion.

Whitney made it to Paradopolis at least.

]I'm sure that some of the great sorcerous houses would be interested in them. The De Soths are usually all about the pacts, but the Anankes like exotic raw materials and the Incanantrixes are all about binding entities to slavery, so there's a real market.

I'm guesing they don't want to mess with a Lair Legion member that's been reading Xander's old books though. And if I ever finish this one Parodyverse mini-story you'll see that Lara has the capability of being frighteningly ruthless when she needs to be, and those sorcerous houses don't want someone attempting to exterminate them. Hint from the mini-story: She has an internal conversation with herself about doing what must be done, what the entire Lair Legion is afraid to do. There are a few consequences to herself, though.

]It's useful to finally get Tanner's origin on record, and it's a very long time since I made much use of Hagatha as a player. I toned down the focus on her back when Whitney Bland stopped being a regular poster.

That reminds me also - in this mini-story I started following a new rule - avoiding using the complete name of any absent poster-characters. So I'll use the superhero alias, maybe the first name, but that's it. That new rule allows for more future portability, as well as avoiding embarrassment if any of those posters doesn't want to do Google searches and see their name show up in a story they never read or authorized. The prevelence of internet search by companies nowadays demands much more care.

]It's a process every writer gets to go through. "Killing your babies" is apparently a neccessary skill.

It's two things that are making a mess of it: I'm trying out that new style, and anything that doesn't measure up to it or feels too much like it's falling back on the old lazy habits has to go; And it's much harder adapting it to characters that are not mine, because reactions and thoughts are much more precise in certain scenes.

PV stories are MUCH harder to write in that style, but I'm trying to work around it by starting the focus on one of my characters so I know precisely how they'll behave. Also they're the ones I had a much harder time keeping the ending in sight.
