Subj: For starters, it's kind of the job description of Herringcarp Asylum.

No, I've combined all the stories from 2013-15 in one quite small folder.

I'd love to see that folder when your done.

Just change the year in the link to get back as far as 1998.

I don't have all the stories people put out. Where folks had their own websites I didn;t usually duplicate, so I'm light on stuff from AG, Finny, DK, Falcon etc. But as time went on I started archiving everybody so it gets better. The only material not included in later years are things people asked to be removed. My own stuff is also archived but in different folders by theme. The main index page is http://www.chillwater.org.uk/HH/

I haven't heard from [Scott] in a while either. I hope he's doing well.

He seems to be doing all right. We are "friends" on Facebook.

Since we wrote this I've heard from him! He responded to my circular e-mail as you did. He may even turn up on this board sooner or later.

Not sure the ending will elevate the whole C&R run. It does hopefully answer at least 1 or 2 questions.

Endings are a good time for someone to reread a series.

It's one of the last "great" unfinished story ideas I have & I just can't leave it alone. Just not really sure how to get to that end point is my problem.

When I get to that point I generally jump perspective. Change the POV character or writing style.

For example, start with a historian from 2245 writing a textbook: "Records become sketchy in the latter part of the Chadwick and Ronald chronicles. Some have speculated that the cosmic events which unfolded around them..."

Or a letter from Catherine: "Okay guys, consider this an intervention. Remember what I sau when you..."

Or pull in a guest star to do a kind of "Greek chorus" commentary on the story so far. "Um, Mr Bookman, sir," the worried intern ventured, "I'm having a bit of a filing problem. With the Chad and Ronnie material. Do I file it under C or R or C and R? Or under S for Spooky? Or E for End of the World? or what?"

Or whatever. The different narrative approach allows for more recap and summary and unblocks your creative juices. You can cut back to usual style after an intro or intersperse the two styles.
