I think the LL as a whole will participate in the evaluation; but Yuki's not actually at the Mansion when the new guys return. She's off with Al B. and CSFB! doing some detective work, getting into trouble, and starting up the next story arc.

That's typical of Yuki, at least.

    Quote:
Indeed; although with one exception Liu Xi's killings have generally been in self-defence during combat.

Generally, but not always. Plus she might accept that maybe existing members of the LL get more slack there than new ones - since she killed before she was a member.

    Quote:
Actually, the trap for Lara is that is she goes to the Wonderwall, and especially if she goes at Thugos' bequest, she will "come back changed". Thugos is confident that that "changed" Lara would be willing to join his cadre. He knows something Lara doesn't (or thinks he does). He certainly knows that human concerns and perspectives will seem a lot further away once a person has survived and fully perceived the Wonderwall. The big picture will become more important than individual lives or even indiovidual races.

I don't remember if I posted it, but there was a segment in one story where Faite equated it to the old saying "You can never go home again". That after visiting the wonderwall, Lara's perspective will have changed enough that she won't feel the same about anyone, and everyone else will see she's changed and they'll change their perspective of her.

At the time, Lara's fear was that it would fundamentally change her personality, but Faite told her that wouldn't happen - that it would only magnify certain aspects of it. Faite also pointed out that Lara may have even passed through it before without noticing while coming from her own universe.

    Quote:
The wall transformation is really about making new gods. As for Faite having seen it that would depend. The wonderwall is actually outside the Parodyverse, so any current cosmic being drawing their power from the Parodyverse would actually have to strip themselves of it to get to the wall, leaving themselves vulnerable and open to ambush.

Seen it and visited it are two different things, though. Faite has an understanding of how it works, and what it does, and she is not afraid of it. Then again, since she's not on a journey to reconnect with humanity, that implies at the time she saw it she was already disconnected from them. Most likely she has seen it, decided that it doesn't suit her, and left it alone.

    Quote:
As I say, Thugos' trap is that what comes back from the Wall isn't the same as what goes there. Think of it as a far more extreme version of "prison changes a man" or "I'm not the same as I was before I went to war".

Here's where it gets weird, though. The "down side" to being a part of the energy flows of the universe is you're also connected to it. She's like a very sensitive antenna, but tuned to energy instead of radio frequency. Any time a star explodes and releases all its energy she'll sort of feel uneasy like something is wrong. Actually, it's probably more like a sense of smell, really. Like the way someone with a better sense of smell can go outside and tell that something is burning miles away.

As an aside, though, Lara has been through a lot of changes. First, she was given these special abilities almost without warning. Then, you can imagine, it's pretty traumatic to change into energy, and even more so to travel impossible distances and through to another universe. Through it all, Lara remained true to herself, and kept connected to her friends. That inspired Faite, in fact, which is what prompted the cosmic being to re-connect with humanity and recover what she lost.
