Quote: "Occasional superhero Lara Night dies of drugs overdose. 'She'd apparently been depressed for some time,' confided an unnamed government source, 'but we're not ready to call it suicide yet out of respect for her previous deeds'."There's a big problem with poisoning though - since she's not really isolated, and has lots of people watching her, chances are she'll be taken to the emergency room. The doctors would then kind of notice she'd been intentionally poisoned. Once she recuperates - and she usually does quickly - whoever ordered it probably wouldn't live very long. Lara takes attempted assassination very personally (as you'll see in an upcoming story). And then there's the possibility the Psychic Samurai will throw a huge monkey wrench into the plan by warning Lara ahead of time. Quote: Quote: Maybe the Hood might put her in the case of figuring out how to annoy the Chain Knight, with the excuse that it would protect the Lair Legion as well.Quote: The Chain Knight may not be a good person to annoy. It tends to lead to body counts. This is the Hooded Hood we're talking about. That might be part of his plan. Quote: The difference is that the Hood doesn't really care about those people but he knows that Lara will.Probably, but by now he also learned that she's really unpredictable. Quote: The Hood wouldn't want Lara or anybody to know he was collecting such fragments, or why.He might want to think about that one. Lara is a very good listener, and she doesn't really have any allegiance other than to help out if she can. That means if he's collecting the Jarvisite for a *good* reason, like stopping the Chain Knight, she might agree to help him. Of course, she also doesn't take "I need it to destroy the Parodyverse" as a valid excuse though. Then again, this might be a moot point since the Hood is behaving more irrationally lately. He may see Lara as an enemy even though she hasn't really done anything but associate with the Lair Legion. Quote: Some of the Legion are unlikely to trust anyone that close to the Hood. G-Eyed was booted from the team once for being too chummy with him.Lara is kind of like the Psychic Samurai that way - if she believes she's doing the right thing, she won't let politics or affiliations get in the way. Lara would believe the Lair Legion should accept her reasoning on the grounds that she's done nothing to harm them before. Of course, if it's a government-run Lair Legion, she would have other problems dealing with them. Quote: The Hood's not just a power dater, but he does enjoy sophisticated women with a cosmic worldview.Like I said, it's more a matter of tastes. The Hooded Hood is at best like the Phantom of the Opera. Lara sees the Phantom as sad and pitiful, but also horribly tempered and abusive, and she'd want no part of that type. Likewise, she sees the Hood as passively abusive, and wants no part of that either. She also feels that he thinks other people are beneath him, and she prefers a more humble attitude. If she felt anything for him at all, she might seek friendship with him to help him through a tough time. | |||||||
