Subj: It's amazing what half a pint of cider does to the imagination...

Fleabot sighed.

(Comb... Stroke...)

Living with Visionary had many benefits, to be sure, but it occasionally had its downsides.

(Comb... Stroke...)

He didn't mind babysitting Magweed. She was a nice girl, and had been through far, far too much in a short life. He could put up with the Mouse Guard. He could put up with the occasional outbreak of sprites. He could even put up with seeing Lisa's Cat get stuck on the wrong end of this "Friends with all small creatures" malarky. Especially if he could take pictures.

(Comb... Stroke... Clean brush with antennae...)

But occasionally things were more difficult. Taking a Fairy Princess (and her protesting brother, who spent the entire film invisible out of embarassment) to the cinema, fine.

(Comb... Stroke... Snag... Whinny from horse...)

"Sorry..." he mumbled.

"It's OK." replied the pink horse. "You are still the best thing to happen to my tail in ages..."

The mauve unicorn snorted derisively. "The robot's only doing it to curry favour with our creator." it snorted.

Fleabot didn't comment. Anyone who spent time around the Manga Shoggoth learned to ignore puns, and He instinctively felt that innuendo aimed at a unicorn would end badly.

Looking after a Fairy Princess who has come down with a fever and a mild case of hallucinations, less so.

(Comb... Stroke...)

Dealing with the results of the hallucinations (this is a Fairy Princess we are talking about), No. This was not fun at all.

"There you are, All straight. I mean, Curled." he said, picking the last of the hairs out of the comb. There was a chance he could claim they were from one of Yo's bunnies.

At least there were no cameras around. He would weather this embarrassment and...

" Why, Fleabot! "

As is always the case with my writing, please feel free to comment. I welcome both positive and negative criticism of my work, although I cannot promise to enjoy the negative.
