Subj: Hey, they can circuit the whole world in a single night. They're efficient.

Reply Subj: Aren't those particular reindeer booked for that night?

I suppose certain dire events may call for a change-up, but surely the big guy in the red suit is going to need to activate a contingency plan? Cinderbelle and Zebulon are probably nearing meltdown.

I'm sure that would make a fine tie-in. I imagine the Shoggoth would be happy to volunteer.

I'd volunteer to do a spin-off but my own plans to finally finish "The Princess and the Great North Star" were derailed when I had a new assignment dumped on me the week before Christmas (actually, 12 hours before my extended family began to arrive by car and plane to spend the holidays here). I've been just shy of a nervous breakdown since, with loads more work yet to do.

Whereas at the Watson house all our planned guests shied off for various reasons so I had a very quiet New Year with just the children.

Still, assignments must be a good thing, right?

Still, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a new story by someone else! I did enjoy the use of 8 holy reindeer in solving the vampire problem, although the arrival of those knights seem to have complicated matters some.

Well, they don't suffer witches to live if they can help it. That might cause some inter-party conflict on Team Good Guys.

I also enjoyed the HV of that time period, with his collection. It matches well with that big cataclysmic storyline from the early days fo the PV, where HV had a giant "Future Imperfect" style trophy room as well.

I work on the theory that different incarnations of HV emphasise different traits, making some more likeable and honorable than others.

I'm still holding out for a happy ending for Maggie and her baby. Hopefully the kid can grow up without the stigma of having been born to be the antichrist... that's probably hard to live down.

Happy endings? Do you think it's still Christmas?
