I just got a phone call from a woman at the local grocery store. My neighbor forgot some of his groceries at the store (we live about 10-15 miles from town) and she wanted to know if I could stop and get them on my way home. I said it wasn't a problem, and once my nearly-infinite amount of photocopying is done I will be heading home and grabbing his groceries.

Another grocery-related story, I was in line to pay at the store when the clerk said the phone was for me. I had been in the store for all of 2 minutes so I was a little surprised, but turned out it was a high school kid who had asked for anyone from our area; he'd left his homework at the hairdressers and wanted to know if I could get it. No problem.

And speaking of the hairdresser, she's the one who saw me walking to her house to get my hair cut (she doesn't live in town and my car was in the shop, middle of January I think). She told me to jump in, and after my haircut her husband drove me back to town.

I love small towns.
