I would have replied earlier if I wasn't so late home every night this week.

Your dating life shouldn't interfere with important things like the PVB.

Oh and I asked you a Dr Who question way below too - still interested if you've seen that show?

I've seen three episodes of the new series now. I'm very happy with the Doctor and his new companion and I'm very happy with the stories.

However I do think there have been some spactaularly poor design choices. The TARDIS interior looks like an ice-cream factory. The orange walls are far too busy and complicated and detract from what should be the key feature, a rather clever version of the central console. The exterior of the TARDIS is rather too bright blue. The refurbished daleks look like plastic toys (even before the marketing people got to them) as opposed to the battle tanks of the latter version. Somehow making them taller has made them less impressive.

And the rearranged theme tune is to music what the new TARDIS interior is to visuals. Murray Gold, the composer, seems determined to put his stamp on it but this time all he's done is write a clashing new theme to play at the same time as the classic one.

I recognise that the new team want a new look but I think they may be suffering from "different for the sake of it" syndrome.

Despite all that I'm very happy with the new series and would heartily recommend it. Smith and Moffatt make up for an awful lot of things.
