I decided I wanted to play with detail some more. It's partly why I picked Anna - when a reader hears android or robot, they assume a cold, emotionless, clinical thought pattern with short bursts of false emotion.

So I picked her to surprise people a little with the way she thinks, and how she feels, and how she reacts to fear and to danger.

Even I discovered as I wrote that her abilities exceeding a human's colors her emotional response to certain things, like crashing a helicopter is no big deal because she has the reaction speed and strength to do so relatively safely, and being surrounded by bears is scary but she doesn't quite fear for her life. Yet at the same time, the feeling of loneliness that would hit a human lost in the jungle affects her in the same way.
