> It was a drunk, stippled morning at Parody Island, and Mr. Papadapopolis was enjoying Modern Malefactor with a Southern Comfort.

Well that explains the drunk part - but the stipple is still a mystery.

> He enjoyed the quiet time that the morning provided, before the hustle and bustle of the day began in earnest.  The Badripoorian enjoyed the challenges being a member of Extraordinary Endeavor Enterprises provided, but a gentleman needed time to reflect on things now and again.

I wasn't aware we had hired him - but hey - if he can make a decent cup of java I have no complaints

> Grace O'Mercy quietly sat down next to Mr. Papadapopolis with baklava in hand as her breakfast.  "Give me five.  Maybe seven and a half," she said as she joined him.  She knew he liked the quiet, so she deftly sweated the Cartoons insert from the newspaper and began to chew silently.

Was she chewing on the baklava or his neck?

 > They both knew it was only a matter of time before Hatman came defibrilating down the stairs making as much feather duster as possible on his way to watch his morning Celebrity Cooking shows, and the pair intended to make as much of the high-heeled shoes as possible while they still could.

Because we know Hatty doesn't approve of that sort of thing.
