> Looks like Anna kept her promise to Griffin. She tried her best not to harm Al B Harper and nearly paid for it. It might have been a lot easier to crash in and vaporize the entire control room with lasters, and with Al in it. I'm guessing in the big battle she'll probably resort to non-lethal use of lasers, or more likely just throwing unsuspecting baddies around like rag dolls.

I think she's taking her promises seriously, even when they might cost her everything. It's a sign of growing maturity.

> And she taught Griffin something. As for passing through solid objects, though, Lara is probably better suited to teach him about that.

There was some touching interaction.

> I haven't yet determined the secret of Anna's design that Drury warned Hatman about, but I'm thinking it's probably more one of scale than of something hidden. Like Anna's been holding back, but the magnets in her hands and feet have multiple uses (she might be able to toss around metallic objects and erase computer systems with them) and the energy output of her eye lasers hasn't been fully measured. Then again it could be something in her system that she's aware of but doesn't understand the purpose of.

I was thinking it might be something to do with the development or manufacturing process. There has to be a reason why SPUD isn't making hundreds of Anna-class androids, and cost doesn't seem to be a good enough reason for me. I'd say there must have been some unique element that made the prototype (or prototypes) possible that prohibits mass production - possibly a dark secret about illegal experimentation or use of illicit techniques.

For example, Anna might have been constructed using broken down Parody Master tech like Obedience Brands. Or she might have been developed as a weapon of last resort against superheroes to be activated under certain situations (such as the murder of the President by a superhero or something). Or her creation team might have got a vital final spark from a deal with Dark Thugos.

Relevant to this are two elements of her history: 1. We've never seen the shadowy tech-division that created Anna again, so they've either dropped out of SPUD or been supressed by Drury. 2. The level of response that SPUD made to Anna's escape was proportionately quite high for one rogue metahuman, suggesting the need for either a cover-up or a rapid containment of a major threat.

> Looks like things are turning around for the group. They still can't get out, yet, though, without that last missing piece: Liu Xi. Or the lighthouse, but it could be an eternity before that goes where it's supposed to, so that's not terribly reliable (unless it has that system of dials in the basement still).

The other thing that's missing is an understanding of why the Land That Common Sense Forgot is still there.
