The Littlest Hobo was a dog that wandered/traveled from place to place, and wherever he stopped he would help people. It sounds kind of stupid, but you'll find a lot of people who absolutely loved that show when they were kids.

It was a live action show, not a cartoon. He didn't talk or anything. He was just a good dog.
