I started out today with the very long process of updating the archives on my website. I've run into an immediate problem with the Moderator Saga. I could use some help.

Apart from the fact that the numbering is still completely off and manages to omit a couple of chapters (I think the last episode might actually have been #50), there's an early confusion around what we're now calling #5 and #6.

These were the one-or-two paragraph contributions from diverse posters that were originally offered in a long reply thread. Shrike pulled them together for what we now call #5, then Al B. and others updated that for what we currently term #6 - but that includes the stuff from #5. #6's material is still filled with lots of extra arrow characters, though, making it hard to read and follow.

Could somebody with HTML-fu please repost (or edit) #6, ensuring that it does indeed include the stuff from #5, so I can store it properly?

On a wider Homepage problem, my new site space provider seems to block people seeing root directories, which means that my previous method of just throwing all the files in a directory and letting people browse it won't work. Is there a way round this?

I note that the archived pages linked from the ain board now only go back 13 pages, to September 1007. SinceI need to head back to March 07 that's a problem.

While I'm commenting, could we please restore the changed colour for clicked links soon please? I'm already missing some people's replies.
