> I have the distinct feeling that the Idiom stole something important from the facility before she disappeared, and it's going to come back to haunt everyone.

That's certainly a plot strand others are welcome to explore. I have no plans for it at the moment.

> If Dr. Trenchcoat is a maquette now, who's the artist?  And is it Manga styled?

Liu Xi was just speculating what the Shoggoth might do to a massively powerful psychic entity that interferes with his video watching.

> I wonder if Vincent will be so clumsy with speech - and possibly coffee - if Liu Xi visits his shop?  She would actually see him as friendly enough to visit now, though she might stay out of reach if he's still so grabby.

He's only grabby when he thinks he's going to die or is on the adrenalin rush after not dying.

And Liu Xi would be welcome in Vinny's alcove, although as you say there may be an element of clumsy mess-making.

> Good job mentioning his late rent, though.  Liu Xi may just accidentally complain to someone about it who can help.  Like the Psychic Samurai, or maybe Visionary or Sir Mumphrey.

Vinny can pay his rent now he's done the job. As he'd explain to Liu Xi, it's very important to him to be able to make it on his own without dipping into his trust fund.
