It's a simple matter of limits of perception. Faite can still perceive the universe around her, but she can't *see* it all at the same time. And now because she's bound by time, she can't be at two places at the same moment. Therefore, by nature of being corporeal, she has to make choices, and be willing to let things go. Those are all new experiences for her, and really frustrating at times.





Faite does know the difference between those who are evil and those who have had to make difficult decisions, and she puts Danny in that latter group. If he really pisses her off, she would consider spilling his secrets not to be a punishment, but more like letting him know that she won't keep secrets for him if he doesn't treat her well. That's a gift she gives to people who treat her like a friend. He probably would sense that about her though, which means he wouldn't push her to the point where she feels she has to do that.





I read that...and it's kind of funny, because it has a lot in common with conversations Lara Night has had with other evil types, if you boil it to the essence of "I see what you're doing, and I'm not impressed". Of course Lara does that because she knows there's a limit to what they can do to her.

I think there was an earlier conversation we had where I guessed that the Hooded Hood might find a conversation with her very amusing. Frustrating, maybe, but also amusing.





Also there's the problem where if people in the Parodyverse know she can change things, they start to become dependent on her. They'll do nothing to solve problems because they'll expect her to intervene.

There was a very good episode of Futurama about that, when Bender raised a civilization while floating in space, on his metal body. He agonized over interfering with it, and finally did when it split, one half moving to his back, and one to his front. Then he stopped getting involved, and those two civilizations fought a war and destroyed each other. He ended up talking to God, who told him if you interfere just right, no one will ever know you did anything at all.

That's along the same lines of why Faite is so careful with changing things. She'll do so more regularly for friends who she knows are self-sufficient and don't need her interfering all the time. Strangers, however, she's extremely careful not to interfere, or to let no one know she did it.





I don't think she'll ever get so mature that she stops saying the first thing that pops into her head. That's like expecting Chiaki to become talkative instead of contemplative, or Lara to become blatantly assertive like Yuki instead of subtle.
