Then I thought "But meatloaf sounds funnier than any other word I could use here." Then I thought, "And FA doesn't really pay attention to how HB's powers work, and she's speaking, so that's okay."

Then I thought, "L! is definitely going to comment on this anyway. Should I put in a footnote to clarify HB's powers or is that too much like explaining the joke (in this case more like detailing a minor nuance of character perspective)? Best leave it un-noted because it's a while since I had anything to chat with L! about."

There's a difficult balance between "writing when inspirations strikes" and "writing as a discipline" isn't there? I struggle with it all the time.
