There's a real sense of things moving on, best of the old, something new and exciting. It ties up a lot of old continuity points (or at least lines them up for tying) and it makes the reader keen to get more answers.

The "Chad & Ronnie: Fugitives" storyline was never to run this long. When I came up with it 3 years ago, it was (sort of) to be the last great Chad & Ronnie story. Why? I had run out of ideas for them & was going to "retire" the characters. I was going to do 1 more story with & give them a send off they deserved.

I had the start of the story all planned up, wrote it & posted it. I also knew the end for the most part, still know it. My only problem was the middle & so the storyline sat unfinished, for 3 years. I wrote other stuff but the unfinished Fugitives story was always there in the back of my mind. I avoided doing any stories with Chad & Ronnie for most of those 3 years because I wasn't sure how they'd fit into the over arching Fugitive storyline.

But I felt that it was since I was doing stuff with them again I should just get it over with & finish off the storyline. In the upcoming stories we'll get to that end point long since planned for. Not sure if this will mark the final Chad & Ronnie story but we'll see when we get there.
