Reply Subj: You have to trust Lady Justice, friend! Otherwise where would we be as a society?

Yes, but the threat only has to pay off once.

More if you're in the Parodyverse.

Feel free to state your theory. The story is supposed to be a mystery after all, and so far nobody has made a guess as to what's really going on.

I think Desmerelda is either the U-Wolf or was already killed by it decades ago.

Keiko is one to talk when it comes to mental health. She clearly has some codependence issues that need to be worked out, last time I checked.

She's been lonely for a long time. Even so, a codependent killer is far less dangerous than a psychotic one. Like she sometimes says, a psychotic killer can turn on you without warning.

Those are the kind of killers that, when they fail to make it look like an accident, they kill the employer for being angry about it too.

Oh and while I haven't mentioned it specifically, Keiko would have been paid that much just for the reporter. Silver Aegis is high profile, and would require three times as much. She also gets paid a deposit, and gets to keep that if she has to abort the job, decides its too risky, or simply can't justify it.

Then again, she's also a different class of assassin. She would do high-profile work for very rich and powerful people, not usually low-profile gang assassinations. She also does very clean work, and relies on very simple methods.
