Quote: He's a grump, sure, but a good guy... A former Legionnaire and all. I ultimately just chalk it up to an act to fulfill some greater purpose in the Parodyverse
I was under the impression that he particularly hates a) people giving him extra work, and b) interruptions. And Lara caused both at one time or another, the latter more recent. So every time she came back he became progressively angrier.
Given that Lara behaved like a pushover before, he didn't expect her to lose her temper and attack him at all. This whole meeting was really nothing but a whole lot of arguing and very little listening. The next time Lara and the Chronicler meet, now that they got the "fight" out of the way, maybe they can make up now.
On the other hand, since there are only 2 people left reading this story, and one part in the queue to post, I'm leaving it up to vote whether to stop here and avoid more problems or post this last bit this weekend. In the absence of any vote I'll just post it and hope for the best.
After that will be something forest related, and then I'm not sure yet.

Oh, just write what you want and post the damn story. The point of sharing characters is to see different interpretations on them, isn't it?
