Fortunately Lara knows just how powerful the kaos energy is...so she used a loophole to get rid of him.
Really though she only did that because she was tired and in a bad mood and didn't want to deal with him. Normally she might want to try to help him, since she knows what it's like to be given lots of power and responsibility when she's not really ready for it.
Liu Xi knows too what it's like, but she's far less trusting or cooperative.
