It seemed like kind of an "ironic punishment".  As in if she thinks she knows so much about breaking out of the Safe, she may as well take responsibility for fixing it.

That's why I picked two candidates, so either one has a way out of it.  Or maybe both do, because with the election a month away, maybe more people will run.

Either way, the epilogue will show why Visionary's name is in there.
