Subj: And how many spinoffs were there of each during their very best years?

Reply Subj: Tell that to the Justice League and the Avengers. Franchise opportunities are where the money is.

> First off, something is clearly amiss in the artic, seeing as there shouldn't be any penguins (southern hemisphere only) to hit at all, endangered or not. Someone as smart as Meng should have known something was up right then.

Yes, that might be down to me not being as smart as Meng. When I can think of a good arctic animal with good comedic ptential I'll do an edit.

> Quite the epic confrontation, with plenty of grand entrances. I think it worked well to bring everything together and keep upping the stakes. Of course, I expected the world to blow up at the end based on Danny's comments, but that was quite the zag things took instead.

I'm working on a revised plotline now to finish things quickly, so some of the previous direction is being modified if not ignored. In my original plotline there was a whole section where the LL got scattered through history to have solo adventures before they got back; and I was going to fold the Da Visionary Code stuff and the Sir John and Lileblanche plots in there too.

> Speaking of Danny, I'm still not sure where things are going with he and Liu Xi. He would apparently be from still further into the future of the narrative, but it seems like he would know that Liu Xi's "grandfather" is the Void Scholar, so that would suggest that it's part of a scam... I'm not sure whether to expect the world to go missing now or not.

I'm remaining a little bit quiet about that for now.

> I certainly noticed when Citizen Z dissolved, but it didn't really answer my question about who she might be. Nice to see who is actually under that mask. That last scene with her left me a bit confused... There may be a typo:

> “You have nothing to fear from her,” her patron promised.

> Fear from her? Or fear from me? I assume that scene only had Amnesia and the Hooded Hood... Or is her patron someone else?

No, you're right. There wasn't a massive amount of editorial proofreading success in this chapter.

> In any event, it's an intriguing set up for the next chapter... I look forward to seeing what comes of it!

I'm trying to hold the line here.
