> > She might also react in interesting ways if she's told that while the Void Scholar's plan is to exploit her and Danny, it's also a necessary fate. For instance, what if she's told that her influence will bring stability to Danny's life, and she must eventually marry him to avoid having him become the Moderator or another Hooded Hood?
>
> That's an intriguing argument. I could see a conversation that goes something like:
>
> "So if you could have saved millions, perhaps billions, of lives by wedding the Doomhearald would you have done so?"
>
> "Exu? I don't... Is that who you want me to marry? To stop him being a monster?"
>
> "I didn't say that, grand-daughter. I merely posed the question. Is your personal liberty and happiness more important to you than taking a role which would prevent disaster from overwhelming the entire Parodyverse?"
>
> And so on.

It can even be much simpler than that. Like the Void Scholar can just tell her that she needs to keep Danny close, because it's all that will prevent him from going mad and destroying the Parodyverse. It might only need to be implied that she's supposed to live with him.

> > The reason why that might be a tough decision for her is because it's absolutely true. Danny has strong temptation to become something powerful, and the temptation increases dramatically if Kerry rejects him. If he has no stable influence - i.e. someone to care about him enough to keep his feet on the ground - it just may happen.
> > Then again, it may be setting him up for an Anakin Skywalker scenario.
>
> It make a fair bit of money for george Lucas.

True. Too bad there's no money in this.

> > I'd have to make something tricky about it. Like maybe a purple-haired female might have some difficulty gaining loyalty from a bunch of male pirates who know females only as either victims or prostitutes.
>
> It's pretty much an open canvas. Maybe there are rituals of challenge for leadership - feats and tests and things.

According to the History Channel the #1 cause of death of pirate leaders was capture and death...and the #2 cause was mutiny. That sounds like a lot to avoid, especially since as a female with no history as a pirate leader, Yuki would immediately have to deal with both.
