> > > > > I guess it'll take Al B Harper's eventual arrival to realize that Yuki's brain can't survive forever locked away somewhere.  The clock is ticking now.
> > > > Indeed. Fortunately we've got what Hatty and CSFB! are up to yet to cover.
> > > Either that or Yuki's body will become one expensive MP3 player.
> > Or she stays on as Alice. After all, she still has Yuki's physical capacities.
> There would be a few problems with that. First, with as many enemies as Yuki has, her now un-intelligent body would be scrap in no time. Second, the Lair Legion would be one member short since her body would now just be dumb muscle unable to handle missions on its own. And third, most of the Lair Legion might find it very creepy considering what she used to be like. It'll be like having Yuki's undead zombie on the team.
|
Indeed. I hope to give Alice one good fight though.
> > > Until now she didn't know she could have books downloaded to her computer.
> > We've seen the Librarian use his data transfer abilities to wipe or program computers before. Normally that wouldn't work as well on Yuki because she's not totally dependent on the computer software for movement or combat strategy. But this is a special case.
> It would be very tricky for Anna too. Because of the way her processing works she'd probably enjoy examining the text of Alice in Wonderland once it's transferred. Of course just like a human brain she can be overwhelmed by a sudden appearance of lots of extra data, and she'd simply shut down (i.e. faint) until she can process and sort all of it.
|
The Librarian's ability isn't really intended to be offensive. It's more like using a gold club as a weapon.
> The most dangerous thing Librarian can do is something he can probably do to humans too if he was so inclined - overwrite her memories so she believes something happened to her that never did.
|
He can only move text around in its various formats. If it's not been "written" in the classic sense he can't affect it.
> > > > Given that their adversary has also demonstrated the ability to cause people to vanish too it's probably wise for everybody to avoid elevators.
> > > In general, yes. But there are those who are at mortal risk. If Anna only has part of her teleported away like Yuki did, that would render her inoperable (aka dead) pretty quick.
> > Teleport anyone's brain out of their body and they're in trouble.
> I figured everything teleported has some value, and any human brain in a human body would be of little value. So the chances of a human brain being teleported from a human body is small. Anna's brain, however, is interesting technology and highly likely to be teleported away.

We'll see more about the adversary's motives and therefore his methods in the third story update.
