Maybe, but around here you never know what the source of these things is.

But tactically he's not irreplaceable. Epitome or Yuki or CSFB! might use different strategies, but it's not like they can't get the job done. That would be like implying that Superman leaving the Legion of Super-Heroes would cause it to collapse because they don't have the power to work successfully anymore.

Inspirationally though, things are much different. The aforementioned three in the paragraph above would behave much differently, and would likely spread some divisiveness in the group. Epitome in command would likely cause CSFB! to leave and vice versa, Yuki may cause both of them and more to leave because of her lack of compromise, etc. Hatman is a leader who's pulling together people who would avoid working together normally.
